[SOLVED] LXD Expand Image

Hi, I’d like to know how to add more space to my LXD containers deployed from ON. I’m using Ubuntu 18.04 KVM image from the ON Marketplace but when resized to 10GB I can see it stays at the standard ~2.1GB once the container has booted.

Thanks in advance

Are you resizing a KVM image or a LXD image ? It isn’t clear in your post.

Oh, I think I get it, sorry, KVM images don’t support the resize feature. Read http://docs.opennebula.org/5.8/deployment/open_cloud_host_setup/lxd_driver.html#considerations-limitations

Oh dang, yes, this seems to be the issue. Is there a way to get ext4 pre made images? I am fine with offline resize. Alternatively, how do I convert marketplace images to xfs/ext4?

LXD marketplaces images are imported by default on ext4 , alternatively you can create your own image

It seems like my marketplace was bugged and didn’t create the LXD VM templates once downloaded. I am fine setting the size on first boot/offline resize. Issue is fixed. thanks for the help.
