Reporting Orchestration Error to OpenNebula

Good Afternoon,

I am doing some testing with OpenNebula orchestration (Reading Context/JSON information and configuring the VM). I was wondering if there was a way to send information back to OpenNebula if orchestration failed.

For example our system requires a default gateway. If one was not defined, or is not present in the context, I would like to send an error message to Onegate to be displayed in the OnlifeVM’s log.

Is this possible? Could you point me to the documentation if so?

It’s not possible to send info to the logfile from the VM itself. You can add a paramater to the VM that can be seen in the output of onevm show and in Sunstone by sending data to OpenNebula using onegate with this command onegate vm update
